There are favourable incentives at the current time on the payment of Stamp Duty Land Tax if you are purchasing as a first time buyer which means you must not have owned either in whole or in part another property. If you qualify as a first time buyer and the purchase price is less than £500,000 you will pay reduced stamp duty land tax. If your purchase price is less than £300,000 no duty will be payable at the current time.
